· Written by Andrew · Sunday, 30 August 2009 17:00 ·
minesweeperEpisode 26: It's a top down RTS comes in at 42min and tackles the best PC titles of 1990. Curtis starts it off with an anti-humourous take on Minesweeper, a game which everyone is sure to have seen. Kerry talks up Commander Keen, the side-scroller. Ben lays down the info for Conquests of Camelot, and dying, before Jaime talks about Kings Quest 5, one of the best KQ games by far. Andrew mentions Brett Michaels. All classic titles, all worth playing. Listen and see which ones Cut the Crust.

You guys were way too hard on poor old minesweeper. It was challenging, you needed to be logic and cunning to survive.

but there was no possible way you could lose if you went slow enough, it was less of a game and more of a procrastination tool

Minesweeper was paramount in paving the way for the advanced use of left/right clicking control styles on the PC. Every talented sniper in TF2 over the age of 25 can attribute a large part of their skill to the early days of training on Minesweeper.

Even though I hate the idea of minesweeper making this absurd list, it was funny how Curtis strategically shot down every comment by the rest of the group.

More like, "Curtis' ideas were shot down by the rest of the group".

We'll let the listeners decide. Andrew, I think it's time for a new poll:)
