NHL94The Platoon chat it up about one of the best hockey games of all time: NHL94.  They then move on to talk about other great console games from 1993, including: Mortal Kombat!, Starfox and Zelda: Link's Awakening.  Ben discusses how playing hockey as a goaltender gives a unique perspective on life, Curtis does his best to screw up all the facts on Mortal Kombat!, and Andrew falls flat trying to burn Kerry for picking Starfox.

Kerry the frog is Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare is the rabbit.

I remember the second level that you got me to play on the snes, "Asteroid", never could beat it, it was super hard at my age.

I played the 64 version over and over, it was a great sequel

White Water Adventures was the Hazeldean Mall arcade. And does anyone remember 'Towers' (before Zellers) when they had Rampage (with the giant werewolf, I think the name was Lizzie), and Indiana Jones Temple of Doom and Cabal?

...almost forgot, Towers also had Hit the Ice. It was an alright hockey game. Who voted for Wayne Gretzky 3D in your poll? That game was terrible. Every puck turnover the entire screen swung around.

Yeah, a crust list would be great. Then you could do an annual Crustiest of the Crusts Award ;)

Don Koharski's! That's a place I haven't thought of in a while. I remember seeing Mortal Kombat for the first time there. Also, there was this game called 'Pit Fighter' which was even before MK, I think.

lol, it was painful on the eyes. I voted for Blades of Steel and I can almost guarantee these other 4 clowns for NHL94 in the poll. Don't worry though, that game won't even tickle the crust.

I laid down my vote on '94. If I had a second vote I'd consider tossing it towards Ice Hockey because it was definitely one of my favourite hock..... wtf... NHL HitZ? Who made this list. Smells like a basketball player...

I won't lie, nhl 94 is a clear winner from the poll, but I also liked Wayne Gretzky's 3D due to the fact it was a lot of fun if you and your buddy were really good at it.
