Ep07: You Can Manipulate Objects
· Written by Curtis · Sunday, 12 April 2009 20:00 ·
you-can-manipulate-objectsIn this episode, we change the format up a little bit.  The Platoon decides to have a conversation about women in gaming and gamer stigma as portrayed by the mainstream media.  To do so, we thought it would only be appropriate to include a female gaming guru in on the conversation.  As the episode is centered around females and gaming, we also thought it would appropriate to chat about Jaime's girlfriend in TF2.  Oh, and Andrew decides to call in from Ireland (where he is away on business) at 3:00am after consuming copious amounts of Guinness.

The home loans suppose to be important for guys, which are willing to start their own business. In fact, that's comfortable to receive a college loan.

She's right about the commercial success though. Nintendo titles, Wii or DS, are dominating the market, taking huge market share and putting all the "boys only" or "boys mostly" games like first person shooters way further down the list, so how could you guys say that girl friendly games are a commercially viable options. The games are designed to be INCLUSIVE not EXCLUSIVE and while the might boys club tries to say that they are the dominant market share and should have everything branded for themselves, its the inclusive games that are reaping the success of the under appreciated girl gamer market as well as the family market

I swear, there is a gold mine out there for any company that pulls off the next 'Sims' style game. As Sar said, perhaps the key to a good "female friendly" game is allowing the women to "turn their brain off while playing" (referring to the Internet ball games). Escapism is perhaps a bad reason to play, but it may be a good approach to get the ball rolling for more female friendly games. The fact that not a lot of these games exist means the American business swine haven't figured it out yet (except Sims and a few other titles). Besides, this world fucking blows...who doesn't want to escape once in a while? As Ben said, every man on T.V. is a retard...why not in gaming too?
