The LP2 finishes off 1980 with the big title of Missile Command and the controversial VTL Computron. Andrew talks about the political importance of Missile Command and Ben still doesn't talk about Ultima. Kerry and Jaime have a conversation about beer league hockey and Richmond before the Platoon all decide that the Magic 8 Ball should also Cut Their Crust. Ep10: The Richmond Fair had a Tent

1980 is essentially the start of our list, and comes with one of the biggest video game characters of all time: Pacman. Before the Platoon chat about Pacman they rant a bit about the recently released Guinness Book of World Records list of Top 50 video games of all time. Kerry talks for a while about Space Invaders and Ben doesn't talk about Ultima. This cast comes with lots of side banter about other games of the era, as well as lots of arcade cabinets, like Street Fighter II and Terminator 2. The cabinet conversation continues with discussions of Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell, famous from the King of King documentary. Jaime concludes with some info about Intellivision games like Astrosmash as well as the ever famous Smash TV. Next week there is some serious debate over whether the VTL Computron is even a game or if its a console, so let us know your thoughts, leave a comment or vote in the pole, then tune in next week to see what the Platoon decide.

Ep09: It's Like Prince of Persia

Episode Number Nine is ridiculous. Kerry first tries to talk about probably the best known FPS ever, DOOM, but is continually interrupted by side conversations. The conversation moves to Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold, where the Platoon discusses exactly what this game isn't, while Ben assures everyone that it is just like Prince of Persia. Some games for Mac are brought up by Andrew; Pathways into Darkness as well as the multiplatform Star Wars: X-Wing, but no one really listens to his rant. Ben then talks about IGN's Best PC Game Of All Time, X-COM: UFO Defense, but mostly just mentions IGN and not X-COM, although still manages to convince everyone how great a game it was. Ep08: Lettin' Clappers Go

They then move on to talk about other great console games from 1993, including: Mortal Kombat!, Starfox and Zelda: Link's Awakening. Ben discusses how playing hockey as a goaltender gives a unique perspective on life, Curtis does his best to screw up all the facts on Mortal Kombat!, and Andrew falls flat trying to burn Kerry for picking Starfox.
