CASTLEVANIAWhy I loved the music: On top of having great gameplay, the brooding soundtrack is what pulled you in. Dark undertones and moody tracks, this added to the dark experience. FINAL FANTASYWhy I loved the music: The fight music, walking around the map, the dungeons; all crafted with expertise. These tunes set the stage for all later FFR soundtracks. GRADIUSWhy I loved the music: Upbeat, fast, dynamic, this game was a rush to play and the soundtrack had no problem keeping up. Each of the weapons as well had a great sound that only added to the music. MEGA MAN 2Why I loved the music: Not much I have to say here, as Kerry pointed out in Project D Episode 3, Mega Man has numerous pieces of music that are we known as some of the best ever. METROIDWhy I loved the music: Slow, very thought provoking tracks. Each section with its own tone and with larger battles having the evil atmosphere built up througout the level. Here are some samples to entice you to boot up some ROMs |
